My heart aches.
My eyes swollen from the never ending river of tears.
I am tired but can not sleep.
I should eat but I have no hunger.
I am just functioning, but my joy is gone.
I can sense you, but you are not here.
I miss the joy you brought to my life.
I miss the questioning tilt of your head.
I miss your joy of discovering some thing new.
I miss our quite time at the end of the day.
I miss the sound of your feet moving through the house.
I miss your utter joy of life.
I miss your devotion.
I miss those soft brown eyes.
If I could change that day I would.
If I could have you with me for the rest of my life I would.
Until we meet again my devoted friend.
