I feel your pain. We're starting to get melt of the stuff in our yard. DH has to go out every morning and bust the ice dam in front of the garage or else the garge will flood with run off coming down the driveway.
Ciara and Caleb still have a lot of snow in theor yard. It'll be a few more days before we see grass back there.

I remember mud season. A chinook would blow in to either eastern Washington or SW Montana and we would go from 6 inches of snow to 4 inches of water in a flash. In SW Wyoming, the turn-out would be very mucky.
Here, we've had a week of wonderful, sunny warm days. Which fortells a fire season from ahem heck. Fortunately, the county got a grant for clearing juniper. That should help a lot if people take advantage of it. I'm hoping to benefit myself. (I'm tired of trimming juniper myself and moving the branches around for the shredder truck. Someone else, please, do this!)
It does look like rain tonight so I've put my tools away, filling the just-today-cleaned-out pond as I type. That has pretty much done me in. I knew my hands would feel it but didn't realize that my shoulders were getting one heck of a workout and my back is sore, too.
I'm not sure what the rain will do for us except be just enough to screw up the juniper work...

If it is any consolation, we've had some misery here in C. Oregon, too. I do think you need to find your water wings, though.
What I've discovered is that it is a perfect spring for the nasty little not-puncture vine goat head that I thought I had under control except for one spot last year. It is almost everywhere (aka not yet growing as a houseplant!) and I think it is again too late to spray the crap since it is out so early...
You won't get to evaluate your crop of weeds until the water receeds....

True about the weed crop!
Landscaper is hoping to be out next week to put our drain system in if the weather dries up some.

Could the landscaper also put in a barrier to the neighbor that is so obnoxious?
