Not really sure where to put this, but I just saw this cool Tick Twister, that makes it easier to remove ticks from our beloved pets and thought I would share the info. There is info on the FB page. Sounds like they are not in the US though.

It is probably me but I have never had any success with
the different tick removers.

I am glad that I will have little use for something like this now! BUT my thoughts thinking back to life in Arkansas --- Oh yea, that thing IS going to be around when you need it. Sure it is. One more piece of equipment to misplace or at very least not have with me when I'm picking ticks before loading up the dogs after a trip to the barn. I'll share that a friend sent me two tick removal tools (one for each dog). I used neither - my hands worked just fine. As for horses, my mare would swell up like a golf ball around a tick. To get the tick out, it was necessary to press on the swelling - tool would not work if I had it with me.

So Zisso have you tried this product? Does it work for you despite my skepticism. (Me = debbie downer)

Just a reminder that ticks should not be twisted when they are removed since they can regurgitate more bacteria into the bloodstream. A lot of these tick removers can help to remove the tick by pulling straight out.

Middle, no I have not used it. I also did not know that ticks should not be twisted out. Just saw the product and shared...sorry!

Well, count me as the oddball here because I love those things! I think they work great. One is in the entryway where I dump my keys and wallet and spare change and the other is in the bathroom.

I was just thinking the other day how there should be tick removers for keychains- that way you'll have one no matter where you are. I'm picturing metal with a pendant type image of what a deer tick looks like on the top wink

I don't twist though, I use it like a lever to pull the tick out.

This is the one I use and it will go on a key chain.

I really like it. You don't have to touch the tick and it does lift straight out.
