It's been a while since I've updated (I'm bad, I know nono hammer I have been so busy, it's been crazy around here!)

I have opted to go the non-surgical route with Kamahi, up until the point that there is no other option. Ultimately, I feel that while he still has good range of motion in his back legs, and with the "bad days" being few and far between, Kamahi will have a better chance going the non-surgical approach. He's been taking Glycoflex III religiously for the last month and a half, and we have just started an Adequan routine. He's also been exercising to strengthen the muscles; light swimming 2-3x per week, as well as light walking 3-4x per week.

If there is anything else that might be beneficial to add (or take away) to his current routine, please add it here! I would love to hear your success stories!

Sacha, this sounds like a nice program for Kamahi. I think the exercise for building muscle will be a benefit.

If you can, get a light therapy pad. We have had human friends use ours and they all say it has benefited them. (we originally got it when Suki tore her CCL).

His issues have actually improved dramatically with the plan we have in place. Obviously he can't exercise as much as he used to, but that's more to do with the fact that he just doesn't have the energy he once did. However, we have mostly good days with lots of puppy energy. grin His knees don't seem to bother him one bit these days, which is absolutely amazing!
