Oh Lisa,
Here you have been holding my hand just about with all I have been going through with my crew, and then this happens with Indy. I am so sorry, poor Indy.

Could it be Vestibular? Not sure about the coughing and gagging, but the other symptoms are similar to Vestibular too.

I hope she gets better soon. Hugs.

Eye rolling is a symptom and vomiting can be too.

Oh my gosh - how is she doing now? That does not sound like KC to me - I've had some fosters with it, and a couple of times my dogs have gotten it with them, but I stopped fostering when Kramer and Nina got older because I had heard it can be quite rough for seniors. If you have to can you get to an ER like Davis?

Just thinking aloud here-- chest Xrays came back with lungs clear? My last senior presented this way about a week almost after having surgery. It turned out to be "walking pneumonia"-- same stagger-y, knuckling over symptoms, occasional coughing but not constant. And, it happened "all at once"-- meaning, he had had it since a few days but it was not noticable. No temp, initially no coughing, and only later were xrays showing fluid. If I had known and started the abx sooner, it would have been better. Any chance at all that it could be pneumonia? Sending positive thoughts and vibes for your sweet Indy. How is she now?

Lisa I am thinking about you and Indy. I never had a dog with KC. I knew whose dog was on Lasix (fixed spelling) for congestive heart problems. I know he was on it for over a year plus when he had problems breathing she would give him oxygen.

Sending good vibes for you and Indy.

Added a link on Lasix for human, but I know my friend had her dog on it for a long time. http://www.drugs.com/lasix.html

Lisa, since the KC info on the net mentions foamy vomit, and also swollen tonsils, can it be that the tonsils swell enough that she isn't getting enough air? (the staggering, knuckling over/weakness) The air hunger is what caused the stagger-y weakness and inability to walk when my Chell had pneumonia. May this be a case of kennel cough with lots of tonsil involvement? Unsure why her eyes would have symptoms. Is it glassy stare or discharge from her eyes? More positive thoughts flowing out for Indy!
