Wow Ruth and Val, this sounds maybe like something similar happening. I guess the next couple of days will be very telling.

Lisa, I am so glad that I started DeeDee on Milk Thistle as soon as I took her off the drug.

She is doing well now and almost off home cooked and on a grain free kibble and dong well. I am still giving the Milk Thistle and probably will for another month or so depending on how she does.

Val, I have her on Liver Support Factors, but if that drug is so toxic that it does this to her, maybe no supplement could protect her. I will keep her on the LSF now with the drug stopped.

Interesting about the diarrhea. Almost immediately since starting the enalapril, her stools have been soft. That's been about a year ago - not a decent stool in the last year. I figured it was a trade off, but I certainly don't want to trade away her liver!

OK, I just grabbed Milk Thistle at the Drug store because it was the fastest thing I could get my hands on. I wanted to help her fast I didn't want to wait for shipping.

I know about the trade off stuff, some things we don't mind doing a trade off but others no way. Lisa we just do the best we can do.

I really do hope Indy feels better soon.

I hear you on the Milk Thistle. I had the LSF here for Max, since he's on a zillion drugs.

The older she gets, it seems the harder the choices on those trade-offs. Getting old sucks.

Thank you for the well-wishes. She had the enalapril last night and coughed off and on throughout the night. Tonight, so far, she is mostly peaceful crossedfingers

I am curious....here is an xray of Max's, followed by two of Indy's. Is there an "organ" that is enlarging? Is it her liver?

I ended up giving some tylan and scullcap. She is resting peacefully, only hacked up some mucous after it pooled in her throat after dinner. She is releasing a little gas, and a bit twitchy, which I think is a good thing. crossedfingers

Sending beautiful Miss Indy and you, all my healing positive thoughts hugging I am hoping that Shawn may have hit the nail on the head with the medication and once it is out of her system there will be a dramatic improvement crossedfingers
