Chicago - Senior Penny Needs Help Again. - 03/18/16 08:07 PM

Penny is in need of help once again. She is still with the trainer that rescued her, but he has to move to a smaller facility that does not have enough room for the seniors he is fostering. (I don't know what happened to Gus) This is what he posted about her:

"Penny (gsd) is about 10 years old, she is shy but also enjoys walks but would mostly like a nice peaceful quiet place to spend with a loving family"

This is her original thread:

Found out that Gus passed away from liver failure 5 months after the trainer took him in.

I wish my heart was open for another senior right now.

Gorgeous, sweet faced Penny...wub

Yukon and her would be a cute pair.

High hopes she finds her forever family.

Wow, do I have a great update! Penny has a new home and she couldn't have gotten any luckier. A long time GSD person and tracking trainer adopted her. (She was my tracking trainer, and while I haven't taken lessons from her in a while, we kept in touch on facebook) Penny is now the only dog and will be cherished for the rest of her life. It is my understanding that her situation had become urgent and she was at risk to be PTS. Thank God for a happy ending!
