Cyclosporine and colostrum

Cyclosporine and colostrum - 09/24/16 11:17 PM

Does anybody know if you can give colostrum and cyclosporine at the same time? It's for auto immune issues. My previous shepherd had crazy allergies that were helped tremendously with colostrum. Current shepherd has colitis, fistulas and itchy allergies. Also has panels.

Also, has anyone used the Glacier Peak Holistic Sensitivity Test with any success?

My experience is that the colostrum will boost the immune system, which is the opposite of what you are trying to do with the cyclosporine.

There is a chance that they will work together, but there is a greater chance they won't, IMO.

For the first time I have a dog where she does well on small amounts of goat colostrum, and she does have immune dysfunction (IBD and some other stuff). I'm not sure what you mean by panels.

I did the Glacier Peak thing. I didn't find it super helpful, at the same time I ran the Spectrum blood allergy tests for environmental and food allergies, which is what I really used. Looking back at the GP, it didn't pick up enough of the issues she had at the time, using hindsight to make that decision. It was right about some things. I think generally if you stay away from the things it says to stay away from, and slowly test everything else, you can get something out of it.
